Coal India Q2 net profit down 82.45% at Rs 107.31 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 107.31 crore for the quarter ended September 30 2019 as compared to Rs 611.51 crore in the same period last year registering a year-on-year decline of 82.45 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose three fold by 335.57 per cent at Rs 132.63 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 30.45 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter operating expenses increased by 38.61 per cent to Rs 241.50 crore from Rs 174.23 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 76.59 per cent at Rs 180.00 crore versus (Sep`18 Rs 768.80 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 23.79 per cent to Rs -108.87 crore as against Rs -142.86 crore in the year ago period while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 82.50 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 68.53 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1.97 crore while Taxation decreased by 1171.39 per cent at Rs -42.32 crore (Sep`18 Rs 3.95 crore).
