Orient Bell Q2 net profit down 83.83% at Rs 0.70 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 0.70 crore for the quarter ended September 30 2019 as compared to Rs 4.33 crore in the same period last year registering a year-on-year decline of 83.83 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 16.74 per cent at Rs 122.74 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 147.42 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter operating expenses dropped by 14.55 per cent to Rs 115.95 crore from Rs 135.70 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 20.43 per cent at Rs 0.74 crore versus (Sep`18 Rs 0.93 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 42.79 per cent to Rs 6.86 crore as against Rs 11.99 crore in the year ago period while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 31.24 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 9.35 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1.94 crore while Taxation decreased by 85.60 per cent at Rs 0.36 crore (Sep`18 Rs 2.50 crore).
